«When you attempt to install MSXML and get the error; 

«An error occured during the installation of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB}. HRESULT: -2147024894.» 

Do not click OK! Leave the Installation active. 

Run another instance of the MSXML Installer. It will ask if you want to remove or repair, click repair. 

Then another error will occur, stating that «Another installation is in progress.» 

Do not click anything. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL. Go to the Applications Tab. 

Now,  Remember there are two Installations running so two identical programs will apear in the Applications list. You need to look for the one Second down the list, as the most recent apps appear at the top of the list and we want to kill the first one. 

We you find the Second installation down the list, right click on it and select End Task 

Now press Try Again on the existing installation. It will complete successfully. Press close and enjoy your game! 

(If you still get an error when you run your game, stating that MSXML is not installed, just run the installation one more time. It will successfully install first time every time from now on.) «

Если вкратце, то у Вас не поддерживается компонента Windows MSXML4.0 SP2.
Либо скачайте её для своей версии винды, либо откажитесь от неё.

When installing ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, including ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo; or ArcIMS, the following error message may appear:

"Error 1935: An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB}. HRESULT: -2147024894."

After clicking OK the installation rolls back.

Cause

This error occurs during the system update stage of the installation, when Microsoft XML Parser 4.0 installs. The same error may occur when installing Microsoft XML Parser 4.0 by itself.

The cause can vary, but frequently may be caused by system files being used by another product.

Solution or Workaround

Follow the steps below to work around this error.

  1. Stop as many programs as possible. Some programs may be running in the background, such as adware or spyware. If possible, remove them.
  2. Stop as many Windows services as possible by navigating to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
  3. Verify that Internet Explorer 8.0 or later is installed. Verify that all Microsoft service packs and updates have been installed.
  4. Install Microsoft XML 4.0 SP2 before continuing. The download link is in the Related Links section below.
Note:
The previous XML parser may need to be uninstalled before installing XML 4.0 SP2.
  1. Install the Esri software again if Step 4 was successful.

  • I have a Windows 2003 Server SP1. I have SQL 2000 Server SP4 running on it. I am trying to instal SQL XML 3 SP3 on this server. But the installation aborts midway giving an error.I got the following in the event log.

     Product: SQLXML 3.0 SP3 — Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB}. HRESULT: 0x80070002. assembly interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, assembly name: Microsoft.MSXML2,publicKeyToken=»6bd6b9abf345378f»,version=»4.20.9818.0″,type=»win32″,processorArchitecture=»x86″

    Please help. Thanks in advance

  • This may be due to another process locking MSXML4.dll. You may need to shutdown any applications that may be using MSXML4.dll and then retry the install.

    If you are unsure which of your processes may be using MSXML4.dll, you can use a tool like ListDlls from SysInternals to determine which process is holding onto it.

    Give this a try, and see if it works out.

  • I am trying to install Pinnacle Studio v. 16 Ultimate collection. It says I should install prerequisite the net framework 4. I have tried this but it doesn’t work. I have instead installed the newer version net framework 4.5, this I was able to do but was
    unable to complete installation of Pinnacle because I got an error 1935 message trying to install assambly component (303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB). HRESULT 0x800736FD

    I am fed up and frustrated, can anyone please help?
