I don’t have an mlc01 folder in my cemu_1.18.2 folder

This might be a stupid question, but I am following a YouTube video on how to fix crashes and it says to go into a folder called mlc01, but I don’t have the folder. I tried re-downloading Cemu as well as creating the folder and neither of those worked. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what I’m doing wrong, Thanks.

Does Cemu support 32-bit systems?

No, Cemu will never support 32-bit systems. 32-bit applications can only use up to 4GB of RAM, which Cemu frequently exceeds.

Does Cemu support macOS or Linux?

Yes, experimental native builds are now available for both macOS and Linux.

For Linux users, we suggest using WineOpen in new window and LutrisOpen in new window to run Cemu. Experimental native builds and AppImage builds are also availableOpen in new window if you would like to use them.

If you have an Intel Mac, we suggest running BootcampOpen in new window to install Windows, and to run Cemu there instead. The macOS build uses a translation layer that can cause low compatibility, crashes, graphical issues and slow performance.

If you have an Apple Silicon Mac, or don’t want to install Windows on your Intel Mac, I have written an installation guide for the native macOS builds on my personal site at cemu.emiyl.com/installationOpen in new window.

How do I play games if I do not have a Wii U?

You can not. We do not support piracy here and obtaining games without dumping them from your own console is illegal.

Can I play online without dumping files from my Wii U?

No, you must dump files from your Wii U to play online.

Think of them as a «username and password» to Nintendo servers. Nintendo gives each Wii U an authentication to access their servers, and without it, Nintendo will not allow you to connect to them.

What is the mlc01 folder?

The mlc01 path stores the emulated Wii U internal memory, including:

  • System files and apps
  • Installed games, updates and DLC’s
  • User-created save data

This should be on a storage drive that Cemu will always have access to, with lots of free space. By default, the mlc01 path will be stored in the Cemu directory.

If you delete this folder everything will be gone. If this path ever gets reset, make sure to set it again in Options -> General settings -> MLC Path.

Community graphic packs allow you to visually alter a game and how it will run, including:

  • Displaying at higher resolutions
  • Running at higher framerates
  • Adjusting colours and bloom
  • Improving anti-aliasing
  • Applying game modifications

We recommend that you download these to allow tweaking your games for better performance.

Cemu is experimental video game emulation software available for Windows PCs. Video game emulators are software that make it possible to play games designed for one platform. Cemu, for example, provides a platform for users to load and run Wii U games on PC.

Although released in October 2015, Cemu is still marked as «experimental» software. This is likely due to the fact there are still many limitations with the platform: there are problems with Intel GPUs, and other desktop operating systems such as Mac and Linux aren’t yet supported.

Cemu Save Location

Your Cemu game saves will be located at the following path inside your mlc01 folder :

Your mlc01 folder is, by default, inside the folder that your Cemu.exe file is. But, if you’re having trouble finding where your mlc01 folder is: in Cemu, go to Options > General Settings:

When you set up cemu you may have set an alternate mlc01 location.

But what crash are you trying to fix?

Maybe the NSMBU title screen? Doesn’t that require you to put some stuff in mlc01

отключение паков не помогло, а видео вообще нвидию 550ти пользую. Думал, приписано. Q6600 проц и GTX 550ti видео, 8 гигов озу

у меня на 560 ti нормально рендерилось. если драйвер последний, перебирай предыдущие версии эмулятора.

как оказалось, простое снятие галочки не совсем отключает пак, изменения остаются. Виноваты были тени в разрешении 0.5, сменил на 1 — всё начало рендериться, в принципе, адекватно

А кстати — почему уменьшение разрешения тоже вызывает тормоза?

Я когда Зельду в первый раз запустил, то сразу решил укрутить — благо телик у меня все равно 1366х768. Ставлю 1280х720 — стало хуже, плюс какие — то вспышки на весь экран. Ставлю обратно 1920х1080 — стабильные 25 кадров.

Это как?

Всех приветствую, имеется планшет от wiiu — есть ли возможность его подключить к pc и играть с него на эмуляторе? не нашёл никаких описаний как это сделать, везде подключают другие джойпады… сам так и не смог сконектить …

Чтобы это сделать, надо сначала скачать эмуль с этой функцией.^_^

Был 1.15.5.
Попробовал поставить 1.15.10 наспех — список игр и даже настройки джойстика вроде норм все увидел, но сохраненных игр — ни одной, все предложил начать заново.
Пока вернул 1.15.5 назад. Сохранки вернулись.
Это я там что-то не до конца сообразил или сохранки с 1.15.5 действительно на 1.15.10 не работают?

Это ты что-то не сообразил. Сохранения во всех версиях работают. В очень древних версиях место их хранения по умолчанию было другим, сейчас оно «..mlc01usrsave0050000» и между 1.15.5 и 1.15.10 точно не менялось.

Да, все, обновился, теперь сохранки перенеслись.
Замечательно, большое спасибо разрабам, Байо 2 точно стала быстрее грузиться, да и ингейм фпс вроде прибавились, хотя по окошку сверху то же самое показывает, но ощущения — улучшились.

Немного оффтоп: почему до сих пор нет темы «Во что поиграть на Wii U?» Я думал создать, но сомневался.
Хотя и мало эксклюзивов, но зато систребования у Cemu относительно низкие и вот в ту же Байо 2 сейчас эмуляторщикам явно разумнее на Cemu играть, чем на Yuzu (если она на юзе идет вообще, я хз, пока что не юзаю юзу).

Подскажите как настроить гироскоп в Зельде на DS4? Скачал DS4Windows 1.7.12, она гироскоп распознает , но CEMU 1.15.10 его не видит. Старая версия DS4Windows, контроллер не распознает, т.к. видимо не видит новую версию DS4 драйвера. PadTest тоже не видит контроллер, хотя в DS4Windows написан его MAC-адрес.

Напоролся в зельде на баг с фотографированием. В институте нужно сфотографировать Пуру, но в режиме съёмке на ней постоянно моргает квадратик с вопросом. Как я понял этот баг должен был быть исправлен начиная с версии  CEMU 1.9.1. Почему-то у меня не работает нормально.

Ты случаем «полную синхронизацию GX2DrawDown» в настройках графики не отключил? Это её отключение даёт этот эффект.

Доброго времени суток ! Столкнулся с проблемой :

Не скролится карта , в один прекрасный момент просто не прокручивается карта , не знаю как более подробно описать… В общем не могу телепортироватьчя на вышки/испытания и тп. Кто-нибудь сталкивался ?

Главное что звук прокрутки есть , а карта стоит на моем местоположении , только и получается мышью отдалять и приближать

подскажите пожалуйста, в чем проблема может быть. периодически перестает запускаться одна конкретная игра Breath of the wild в которую играю постоянно, остальные при этом запускаются. Раньше лечилось банальной чисткой реестра через CCleaner, теперь вот зависло наглухо. Эмулятор виснет и выдает ошибку после загрузки кэша

Сколько памяти и какой размер файла подкачки? Игре надо где-то 12Гб. Про реестр даже не знаю что и сказать… эмулятор вообще хоть туда что-нибудь пишет? Я что-то в этом не уверен. Если оперативки 8Гб — увеличь размер свопа. Попробуй перекачать кэш еще, может он поврежденный.

I recently updated from cemu1.13.1 to 1.13.2 and now have issues loading games that don’t have dlc or an update associated with them from Bigbox. All games will open from cemu and I have verified game paths. I noticed if I delete the mlc01folder (brought with me from 1.13.1) it works fine but as soon as I start applying updates and dlc these stop working. I’m considering rolling back but wanted to know if anyone had input.

Very strange, I had no problems loading BotW or Xenoblade without up to date DLCs included. I have since updated them but they did work fine without the updates using Cemu 1.13.2 through LB.

Idk of helpful at all but when games don’t load they exhibit the same behavior described in this post 

where the shader cache loads and then closes cemu. But as I mentioned if I delete or just point mlc01 to a different folder (which haven’t had game updates or dlc installed) the issue is resolved.

Just an update to anyone that finds this thread. I downloaded 1.13.2d and set everything up from scratch and issue resolved. Not sure I could pin down the issue but that’s the fix.

lol, i am currently messing with this myself and just updated cemu and cemu hook, working fine here. :)

Yeah I though the same thing when I saw the video it describes the issue to a T. Guess I’ll be updating cemuhook

Prerequisites

We assume that you already know how to get the game updates in decrypted/extracted format. However, should you need any assistance refer to the Getting Started guide.

Automatically

«File->Install game update or DLC». Find the meta.xml file of the update or DLC in the meta folder of it.

Manually on older versions

Note that this updating process is not the same when installing DLC. If you do otherwise, you might override and corrupt your files.

Try to avoid using the «alternative» method of overwriting files in the vanilla game folders since you can’t revert or recover the original files afterwards, and the game IDs are also overridden.

Since version 1.7.3, Cemu will load patched game files automatically from mlc01usrtitle<titleId_upper8Digits><titleId_lower8Digits>, all you have to do is to place the updated game files in this folder. If it doesn’t exist, follow the steps below:

How to create or find the mlc01usrtitle…. folder

  1. Start your game in the emulator and close the emulator.
  2. Open log.txt in the Cemu folder, look for the line:
    Mounting local storage (updates): .mlc01usrtitle00050000101XXXXX
  3. Return to your Cemu folder and navigate to mlc01usrtitle and if they don’t exist, create the 00050000 folder and within it, create the 101XXXXX folder.
  4. In the newly created folder ..101XXXXX you can put the Update Data, which should consist of 3 folders. (Code, Content, Meta.)

Example US version of MK8

For example, patching the US version of MK8 you should end up with a folder structure that looks like this:

<cemuFolder>mlc01usrtitle00500001010EC00content
<cemuFolder>mlc01usrtitle00500001010EC00meta
