Question

How can you configure your IBM Rational Performance Tester (RFT) set up in that way that this error message is no longer displayed?

Cause

This error message is displayed each time you complete a test run and you seek a solution to suppress this error message.

Answer

With SAP GUI’s Hide GUI mode:

When the schedule is run on the same server as the workbench (run this group on the local computer), the «Could not load message» is displayed.
When the same schedule is run on another server (run this group on another location), the message is not displayed.
SAP GUI is installed the same way on all servers used to run RPT.
With Show GUI mode, the message is not displayed when the schedule is run on the same server as the workbench.
There is no reason to display the Could not load message if the configuration is Hide GUI mode.

This error message does not seem to cause any problem to the run itself.

I just recently sequenced SAP 7.2 (update6) with Bex Analyzer. I am not sure how your environment is for SAP, but my SAP requirements were to be able to use Bex Analyzer and Opent Text Image Viewer which is required to view documents within our
SAP solution. Some of the instructions I followed were based on the 7.10 recipe so you would see some of the notes in my recipe also.

Here are my setups and sequencing steps which I hope will help you guys.

Sequencing Machine: Windows XP with SP3 with App-V 4.6 SP1

Sequence Machine Preparation:

1. Create Directories in Q:

Q:<suite name>SAPFrontEnd
Q:<suite name>SAPBusiness Explorer
Q:<suite name>SAPCommon Files
Q:<suite name>SAPJava
Q:<suite name>SAPExcel
Q:<suite name>SAPOViewer

2. Copy all installation media locally to your sequencing machine

Java installation (I userd Java 6u26)
MS Office 2007 (Office 2007 seems to be the only version I was able to get working with BexAnalyzer)
.Net 1.1
.Net 2.0 with SP1
OpenText Viewer

3. Start Sequencing

4. Install .Net 1.1

5. Install .Net 2.0 with SP1 (ignore SFT Sequencer pop up)

6. Install Java to Q:<suite name>SAPJava

7. Install Excel 2007 and only Visual Basic for Office Tools located under Shared Features to Q:<suite name>SAPExcel

8. Install SAP GUI with SAPGui and Business Explorer Options

Change the first target directory for SAP GUI for Windows to Q:<suite name>SAPFrontEnd
Change the second target directory for Business Explorer to Q:<suite name>SAPBusiness Explorer

9. Run installation for Update 6

10. Move (not copy) the following files from C:WindowsSystem32 to Q:<suite name>SAPCommon Files

icuin34.dll
librfc32.dll
libsapul16v90.dll
SAPbtmp.dll

11. Copy working saplogon.ini file to Q:<suite name>SAP (We only have 1 master saplogon.ini file so this is why I did this step)

12. From Control Panel, add Q:<suite name>SAPCommon Files to the Path environmental variable

13. Add a new environmental variable and call it SAPLOGON_INI_FILE with a value of Q:<suite name>SAPsaplogon.in (In SAP 7.20, the saplogon variable is changed from a fixed location to the user’s profile location. This step allows
you to specify a fixed location as with version 7.10)

14. Browse to C:WindowsSystem32Driversetc to the System file and add the SAP system variables and save. (This may not be your requirements for SAP)

15. Install Open Text viewer to Q:<suite name>SAPOViewer (This is my requirements and may not necessarily be yours)

16. Stop Monitoring

17. Copy C:Program FilesCommon FilesSAP Shared to Q:<suite name>SAPCommon Files

18. Customize the Saplogon shortcut to go to Q:<suite name>SAPFrontEndSAPGuisaplogon.exe

These are my steps that I have done many times to get it to where all of my application integrations seems to work with SAP 7.20. Again some of the steps may not be needed for your environment.

Вышел SAP GUI 7.40. Типа мегакрутой — там же новый дезигн Кристал Блю — и «надо обязательно запланировать переход на 7.40».
Поставил 7.40, выбрал схему Кристал Блю и … SMSY тупо валит gui насмерть.

А ведь обещали х64 версию. :twisted:

оно ещё и зависнуть может в любой транзакции. просто разноцветная полоска бежит под панелью инструментов и ни взад, ни вперёд. не помогает даже «выйти из транзакции». так что вернул 7.30, пусть пилят дальше.

Клик по ячейке — она выделяется только через 2-3 секунды. Откатил на 7.3, ибо сырье полное. По поводу подсветки синтаксиса — ноты 2081078 и 2081798. Однако надо иметь достаточно новый кернел. SP1 выйдет 12.12.2014.

Установил патч 1 — проблему с SMSY данный патч решил, также помню была проблема с прорисовкой интерфейса в транзакции RSA1 ( Blue crystal theme), тоже исправлено.

Очень понравилось изменение в параметрах подключения к системам: теперь используется единый xml файл вместо saplogon.ini, saplogontree.xml и services. Возможность указывать порт к мессадж серверу прямо в настройках подключения — очень удобная штука. Только вот не понятно как с этим файлом дружат различные офисные аддоны для аналитической отчетности (SBOP Analysis, EPM) насколько я помню они не видят параметры подключения к системам если используется центральный saplogon.ini на удаленном сервере и приходилось на каждой машине прописывать вручную

А у меня после патча sap gui при запуске выдает

Code:

SAP Logon невозможно запустить без ошибок.
Ошибка при запуске локальных файлов конфигурации:
Возможно, файл ландшафта
….SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml
неправильный или недоступен.

Это может повлиять на функции.
Адаптируйте настройки для файлов конфигурации в опциях.
Обратитесь к системному администратору.

Где ж его взять то, системного администратора.

Does anyone know why sap gui 7.10 will not load?

The program has been installed numerous times and does not load at all. When you click on the icon on desktop to load sap gui in XP it just flshes the hour glass for a second and then nothing. It does not even register in processes in the task manager.

This has been installed on many other machines without an issue. The system is a clean install of windows xp SP 3.

Any help would be appreciated
