При копировании графического объекта появляется предупреждение Недостаточно памяти. После нажатия кнопки OK Illustrator аварийно завершает работу.

Чтобы устранить данную проблему, сделайте следующее:

1. Обновите Illustrator до последней версии

2. Сбросьте настройки Illustrator

Выполните одно из следующих действий:

В диалоговом окне Illustrator > Настройки > Общие:
1. Щелкните Сброс настроек, а затем OK.
2. Перезапустите Illustrator.

При запуске Illustrator нажмите клавиши Option+Command+Shift.

Выполните одно из следующих действий:

В диалоговом окне Правка > Настройки > Общие:
1. Щелкните Сброс настроек, а затем OK.
2. Перезапустите Illustrator.
При запуске Illustrator нажмите клавиши Alt+Ctrl+Shift.

При сбросе настроек предыдущий файл настроек сохраняется под именем Adobe Illustrator Prefs.err.

Если вам не удается получить доступ к указанным выше настройкам, удалите папку с настройками и перезапустите Illustrator.

3. В разделе «Плагины и временный диск» выберите диск, на котором достаточно свободного места

Выберите Настройки > Плагины и временный диск.
В списках Основной и Дополнительный выберите диски, на которых достаточно свободного пространства.

4. Обновите драйверы графической карты и операционную систему

Windows: убедитесь, что драйверы графической карты обновлены.
macOS: убедитесь, что установлена последняя версия операционной системы.

Saving a PDF is a good solution; however, it doesn’t include layers so you’ll have a flat file much like rasterising an EPS file.

(I might be missing something with the import options though so if anyone knows how to import a layered PDF let me know)

carny_’s copy and paste solution is also a great workaround that seems to be working (although tedious with lots of layers )

with the only caveats being everything should be constrained to the working artboard and centered…when you paste in

Photoshop it wants to center that paste on the current document so if you have some asymmetrically balanced objects

(like objects in one corner) or something larger then the artboard but again unbalanced (hanging off one side) those layers

may not be in position in photoshop. A workaround is to include a «crop box» layer…a bottom most layer with just a stroked

box (no fill color) that is large enough to encompass your entire image…just have to remember to select that box with

every copy/paste . It does work though and worth the trouble for files too «large» to export normally…my biggest file

tested so far was a 15″x15″ piece.

I have completed a graphic and I want to export it to a file format which I can import into a cad program. The cad program requires jpg, png, or bitmap. and will not accept a pdf. Of that available, jpg or png are my choice. The graphic is on a 36″X24″ artboard but does not result in a large file. The ai file is 1.75mb, When I attempt to do the export I get the isufficient memory message. I have 4gb of RAM and never more than one half is in use. My OS is Vista Ultimate X64. If I save this file as a pdf and try to in turn save the pdf to a jpg, I get a similar message; however, I have converted other pdf files to jpg successfully and these files were 4.4mb. but were not created from .ai. I do have the quality setting high, but it would seem that 2GB of unused ram would be adequate to convert a 1.75mb file. I have tried closing all programs and dumping temp files but the problem remains.

I am not familiar enough with ai or computers to know where to look for some esoteric setting that may be the problem. Nonetheless I need to be able to do this on a regular basis and therefor need someone’s help.

What resolution are you trying to use for the save? Try reducing the number in the save dialog to 150 or less and try again.

Resolution is 300dpi. Anythin less looks as if it were done using 6″ paintbrush, in a printed document. Again, one would think there is more than adequate memory. Lastly, I tried «poor quality», with the same results.

Do you have any guides on your artboard? Have you got the Use Artboard checked in the Export dialog? Was this originally from a Web and Video New Dcoument Format? Can you give us some more information on the items on the artboard.

I do have use artboard checked. There were guides used in the creation, but were deleted before attempting export. Document is new and was created as a print document for this express purpose. It has no blens or special effects, it is basically a line drawing. Does that do any more than just make it harder?

Did you try with Anti-aliasing off? I just did one to the same size with some line work on it and had no problem exporting it to a .png, even with a white background but I did it with the Anti-aliasing off.

If you are using Illustrator CS4, then you are experiencing the Nasty Memory Bug that Adobe refuses to fix. Is a random bug, one file can be 3GB without any problem, but the next file can be 2MB and you get the annoying «Insufficient Memory» warning.

Please keep in mind that Adobe doe not provide updates, nor cares to fix anything. Adobe loves to sell you the new version with new and old bugs without updates.

If you are not using version CS4 there are way to optimized the computer. Please let us know what version you have.

I’m not sure this will work but I have succesfully used this trick on InDesign documents that were not behaving properly. Unlock all the layers and SELECT ALL and COPY.

Than create a BRAND NEW document and PASTE your artwork into it.

Save the document with a new name.

Than try doing what you were trying to do in the first place.

Be sure and let me know if it actually works! It does for me on InDesign documents where the text won’t flow properly.

I am also experiencing the same problem. I have been trying to export a jpg from an illustrator document I have been working on. It is 13 MB and 18 x 24, exporting as .jpg 300 dpi as required by my print supplier. The program will only output 150 dpi successfully. I have Design Premium CS5 with windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Intel Core 2 DUO 1.83GHz, 3GB DDR2 ram. I have tried all of the suggested output methods described in previous post, I have gone even one step further and bought a new laptop to output the file for production. The new PC has CS5 with windows 7 64-bit, Intel® Core™ i7-740QM processor

Features a 6MB L3 cache and 1.73GHz processor speed with Turbo Boost up to 2.93GHz, 6GB DDR3 1333MHz ram. After installing CS5 and trying to output the same file at 300dpi, the pc still says insufficient memory to complete. This is a serious problem. I have a business to run and even the latest and greatest can’t seem to run Adobe properly. I installed some of the windows gadgets to monitor the system resources during export. Everything seems to be at minimal consumption, in fact the new pc just seemed to speed up the error message. This problem is obviously not a system performance issue. My clients don’t expect less from me than what they pay for and I don’t expect less from Adobe. Needless to say, I am returning the new PC for a 15% restocking fee (More money lost). I may as well us MS Paint and save myself some money. ADDRESS THE ISSUE, ADOBE!!!

Upgrading to the latest version of acrobat 8 seemingly has solved my

problem….so far. Perhaps Windows 7 is now an issue just as Vista was with

me. I note we both are using 64bit versions.

It is now 2015 and I am having the issue as well. I have tried numerous things that have been suggested in these conversations. I cannot export a file in illustrator to save as a jpg or other. These are large files and need to be large. But I have plenty of empty space on my laptop. Are there any new updated things I can try?

The only thing that is working right now for me is to save for web and devices. But even that makes my illustrator crash at times. I am also still unable to go to the max size file that I would like to use.

Is it really time for a super huge/fast computer at this point?

What OS and version? What version of AI? Most newer Operating Systems will require more than 4GB of RAM esp. if lots of other apps are open at the same time. Have you tried with just AI open?

Can you tell me what my options are at this point? New computer? I had stated before that I have used this program and this laptop for over three years and didn’t have issues until this year. I had forgotten that for a year in there I had been paying a monthly fee to adobe for the CS6, but canceled that a year ago.

And I apologize for not being very computer savy…. but… If it can only acccess 3GB and I have 3.75 avail, why does that not work?

Even 3 GB is not enough for your images.

You can try and let Photoshop do the raterizing. Open the AI file in Photoshop and specify the size you need.

Как-то раз я делала дизайн для мастерской по кожи. И без текстур я там не обошлась. Обычно для web дизайна в Illustrator я делаю все повторяющиеся элементы символами. Как правило, это ускоряет разработку и делает макет легче, быстрее. Но, оказывается, не всегда.

Такую чудесную ошибку я получила после целого продуктивного рабочего дня! Все нарисованные макеты, конечно ушли в небытие. Максимум, что мне удалось сделать – открыть в Photoshop растровую копию (конечно, слитую в один слой).

Причина

Почему же возникает эта ошибка. На самом деле причин может быть много: от слабенькой рабочей станции до самых невообразимых нерациональных использований люстры самим дизайнером (мой случай).

Моя проблема заключалась в следующем: я сделала “футер” сайта символом. Это мне всегда позволяло оперативно вносить изменения во все макеты. Но в данном проекте одна из главных текстур была – кожа. Такая коричневая, векторный паттерн со множеством точек. Если такой паттерн (примерно 1000 px в ширину, 400 px в высоту) “засунуть” в символ, то возникает данная ошибка (даже если символ в одном экземпляре).

Надо отметить, что если этот же паттерн повторять вне символа (хоть 20 раз), макет открывается, не зависает. Внутри символа такая текстура сразу же дает ошибку памяти.

Скорее всего это связано с тем, что внутри символа такая векторная текстура автоматически растрируется. Но это лишь мои догадки, подтверждения этому я так и не нашла.
