When you start MapInfo Professional, you are asked to activate your product using your user name and the password that you provided during installation of your MapInfo Professional software.

You need to provide a serial number and an access code that you supplied during the installation of MapInfo Professional.

MapInfo Professional requires 32-bit Access drivers, and when Office 64-bit is installed, the 32-bit Access drivers are often not installed.

MapInfo Professional is installed by double-clicking the MapInfo Professional icon that appears on your desktop computer. If this is the case, from the Start menu, choose MapInfo Professional from the list of programs selected.

MapInfo Pro 32-bit requires 32-bit drivers to work properly. However, because Office 64-bit drivers are installed, the 32-bit drivers are not automatically installed. MapInfo Pro uses the Windows Driver Service (Windows Driver Support), but due to a Microsoft policy, Windows drivers for 64-bit products are not automatically installed.

In other words, MapInfo Pro (32-bit) requires 32-bit Access drivers, but if you install Office 64-bit, 32-bit Access drivers are not installed automatically.

Usually, you will need to install 32-bit versions of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (AccessDatabaseEngine.exe) by right-clicking on the Windows Start menu and choosing Run as administrator in Windows Explorer.

Microsoft does not support both drivers that you install on the same computer, because of incompatibility.

I just installed a 64 bit version of Office 2013. As I did it, it told me that I had to uninstall the 32 bit version of Access something, and so I did.

I then installed Office quite easily.

Now when I start MapInfo I get a “Microsoft Jet Engine is not available for error information” error message on start up.

What are the implications and is there a way of solving this?

MapInfo Professional requires the 32-bit access COM components to work with Access databases and some Excel files. . If you are not using these you can ignore this. Otherwise, you need to get them installed and Microsoft does not support have both 64-bit and 32-bit Office components installed on the same machine.

I am curious, if you don’t mind saying, why you wanted the 64-bit Office version to begin with ? Do you use very large Excel spreadsheets?

Thanks Eric,

I installed the 64 bit version
because I have a 64 bit machine and everything else is running 64 bit. It
is not the 2010 version of Office that is installed as per the article, but
rather Office 2013. This is the standard for all our office machines.

While I do not use large excel
spreadsheets, I commonly use large Access DB either to an Access backend or SQL
backend. I imagine the additional memory available on 64 bit is an
advantage there. I do open these up in MapInfo as well.

From what you are saying, if I want
to access data held in Access databases, or avoid that annoying error message
when I start up MapInfo, I need to run the 32 bit version of Office 2013?

Hi Robert, hit this a little while ago. From about Office 2007 onwards there is no longer any Jet engine, there is however one called ACE 4.0 that is the replacement

Yes the link is about 2010 but the issues have not changed.

I uninstalled all the 64 bit versions of Office (including visio and project) and then installed the 32 bit Office, and Mapinfo works without error now. I did not have to install any additional data access programs as bill suggested.

May just have to wait for the 64 bit version of Mapinfo.

Проблемма с открытием рабочих таблиц..

mICROSOT Acceess Объект ‘MAP-INFO_ID’ не найден ядром базы «Microsoft Jet». Проверьте существование обекта и правильность имени пути. Таблицу «Имя таблицы» открыть не удалось.

вот такая ошибка на компьютере на 1 на других эти таблицы открываються нормально и если переустановить виндовс то работает нормально некоторое время а потом снова такая же ошибка … подскажите как её решить… таблицы 100% рабочии

Это Вы что, Access-ом пытаетесь MapInfo-вые таблицы открывать штоле? MS Jet — это ж DAO, не могу связь с MapInfo уловить…

открываю файлы расширения .TAB причом тут майкрософт аксес сам непонимаю…

А, это двойным щелчком в проводнике открыть пытаетесь? Похоже, какая-то добрая программа заменила ассоциации файлов *.tab с Мапинфы на MS Access. Если у Вас WinXP, попробуйте на любом файле TAB щелкнуть правой кнопкой мыши с одновременно нажатой кнопкой Shift на клавиатуре, в контекстном меню выбрать «Открыть с помощью…», далее выбираем в списке программ MapInfo и ставим галку на «всегда открывать этой программой», потом ОК. Должно помочь. А вот если Виста какая или семерка, то с разбегу не подскажу, под рукой их нет. XP, впрочем, тоже нет, по памяти воспроизвел

в мап инфо открываю из самой программы мап инфо не из проводника….

А таблицы создавались в MI? Если да, то какой версии? Если нет, то где?

да создавались в мап инфо, а вот версия непонятно..это делалось давно и не нами… но ведь на других компьютерах работает + и на этих работает но непостоянно а после переустановки винды и недолгое время..

что мешает выгрузить таблицы Access-ом в текстовые файлы, и снова создать таблицы Вашей версией MapInfo?

Скиньте одну из таблиц, если не сильно секретные, посмотрим. А так даже не диагноз по фотографии получается, и экстрасенсы все, как назло, в отпуске.

присоединяюсь к совету.
Вообще ошибка похоже на таблицы MapInfo, которые созданы с хранением атрибутивных данных не в файлах MapInfo, а БД Access. Хотя, если выгружали и туда и обратно…
И еще поточнее укажите цель ваших манипуляций — победить ошибку при существующей конфигурации данных, или просто победить ее, даже путем создания новых таблиц.

This Microsoft jet database error 3197 message occurs when a long value column (a MEMO or OLE data type) stores a bad data in it. The long value column is usually stored in a separate page that stores rows. In case, if a long value column exists in the table schema then, the jet database engine tries to read the long value while reading the row of data. For reading the long value page, there will be a pointer in a row of the data. The error occurs when the Jet database becomes unable to properly read a long value page from the present pointer in the data row. Opening a row, which exhibits this kind of behaviour in MS Access data-windows, it will display the number sign (#) for the complete row.

Techniques to Fix the ‘MS Access Run-time Error 3197’ at Initial Stage

Whenever such kind of error messages occurs, users always think about automatic techniques even without detecting the level of corruption exists in the database file. One can export the currently running MS Access database to any of the updated version like MS Access 2010/ 2013 to make ACCDB file accessible again and fix the Access error 3197 message. Below are the steps to convert the Access database file to MS Access 2013 version:

First, open the MS Access database and click on File tab to choose the backstage view and click on Save As
In Save As wizard, select Access database (*.accdb) from Save Database As section
Navigate and choose a location to save the new ACCDB file and enter a suitable name for new database file
Eventually, hit a click on OK button

Now, all the data of Access 2007 will be moved into Access 2013 or 2010 version. However, users cannot open this new file in their older access database application.
If any incorrect linked table still exists in the database file then, it will be quite complex to convert and open the Access DB in the latest version.

Здравствуйте. Стала появляться ошибка в работе программ, которые используют Microsoft Jet. На других компьютерах все работает нормально. В появляющемся окне пишет что какая-то запись не найдена или же путь указан неверно. Как быть? Скачал обновление для Jet»a, но не устанавливается, ссылаясь на то, что уже стоит более новая версия, не знаю как быть, переустановил Офис, все равно Ошибка стала появляться после некоторых вынужденых перезагрузок компьютера.

Есть несколько программ, написаных на Дельфи, работают с Акцесс таблицами через компоненты ADO, используют Microsoft Jet До некоторого времени все работало нормально, но сейчас ни одна из программ не работает (сообщ. № 1). Если открыть базу Акцесом, то при открытии окна со связями, появляется локно с ошибкой. На других компьютерах все работает

Может, просто файл испорчен.

И неплохо было бы дословно текст ошибки привести.

Айл не может быть испорчен, т.к. к примеру: я токо создаю базу в Акцессе, пробую ее подключить, уже появляется ошибка. Текст ошибкаи я дословно перевел, пишет что мол такая-то запись не найдена. На других компьютерах такие же файлы используются Ж(

Да в Акцессе создает и видит, вот токо когда открываю окно со связями, происходит ошибка, ничего не пи шет пустое окно. Переустановил офис, в Акцессе теперь и окно со связями нормально открывает, вот токо все равно ничего не работает Сегодня так утром стало, до этого все работало

первое исправь свою строку на.
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=c:1.mdb;Mode=ReadWrite|Share Deny None;Persist Security Info=False
+ незнаю зачем тебе, поэтому оставил, но режим ReadWrite тоже можно убрать. остальное лишнее однозначно.

второе не держи открытым конект в режиме разработки. вернее держать можно (иначе как работать? ;), но вот перед окончательной компиляцией для переписывании проги на другую машину закрывай коннект. открывай его в рантайме с обработкой ошибки… т.к. он у тебя как раз не находит таблицу/обьект открытый при разработке (на старте, до твоего кода пытается открыть то что есть/было на машине где компилил, но не на этой).

третье вот правильный перевод а не «мол такая-то запись не найдена» (получена повторением такогоже открытия на руссифицированном ядре)
«Объект «AccountNum» не найден ядром базы данных Microsoft Jet. Проверьте существование объекта и правильность имени и пути.«
и эта ошибка скорее всего означает отсутствие внешней прилинкованной таблици.

Блин, заметил еще то, что даже другие программы, которые используют Microsoft Jet не работают. Ошибки появляются. Может мне Windows переустановить?

т.е. хочеш сказать что какаято другая программа (не твоя) выдает ту же ошибку при использованием jet-а? и в базе (*.mdb) этой программы, при этом нет линков (прилинкованных таблиц) на внешние источники. так?

или это всетаки другие ошибки?

если это jet, то достаточно его обновить. но судя по выдаваемому сообшению, дело не в нем, а во внешних данных. нет их, пути неправильно интерпретируются, т.д.

После того как стала появляться ошибка. перестали работать некоторые программы, которые написаны совершенно другими людьми, что именно за ошибки там не знаю, просто пишет еррор и закрывается, думаю что-то хз что я сделал с этим Jetom ) «Новейший железный вирус» xDDD ТОО Сталь пром xD

Описание проблемы

При попытке установить 32-разрядную версию Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 может появиться ошибка, которая сообщит, что в системе установлены 64-разрядные продукты Microsoft Office:

You cannot install the 32-bit version of Microsoft Acccess Database Engine 2016 because you currently have 64-bit Office products installed. If you want to install 32-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016, you will first need to remove the 64-bit installation of Office products. After uninnstalling the following product(s), rerun setup in order to install 32-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016:
Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibillity Component 64-bit Registration

Решение проблемы

В итоге, согласно данным сообщениям об ошибках, нужно удалить установленный Microsoft Office, и далеко не факт, что это даст желаемый результат. Как не странно, но исправить данную проблему поможет «тихая» установка данных компонентов. Для этого, запускаем командную строку и пишем название установочного файла в виде .exe, после чего через пробел добавляем параметр /quiet. Получится должно примерно следующее:

accessdatabaseengine.exe /quiet

В итоге, таким образом должно получится установить как 32-разрядную версию Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016, так и 64-разрядную.

Это ошибка в строке подключения.
Data Source, а не Data Sourse.

mICROSOT Acceess Объект ‘MAP-INFO_ID’ не найден ядром базы «Microsoft Jet». Проверьте существование обекта и правильность имени пути. Таблицу «Имя таблицы» открыть не удалось.

Это Вы что, Access-ом пытаетесь MapInfo-вые таблицы открывать штоле? MS Jet — это ж DAO, не могу связь с MapInfo уловить…

открываю файлы расширения .TAB причом тут майкрософт аксес сам непонимаю…

в мап инфо открываю из самой программы мап инфо не из проводника….

А таблицы создавались в MI? Если да, то какой версии? Если нет, то где?
