Hi

My Pavilion DV6 laptop (Windows 7 64bit) will no longer run the bundled Cyberlink Youcam software.

It displays a message «Error at loading of ippSP library», «No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure»

Can someone tell me what software I need to reinstall to fix this? I’ve reinstalled the Cyberlink software from the C:SWSetup folder but its no different in the error message thats displayed.

There’s lots of other HP software in the SWSetup folder, could it be one of those I need to run?

Thank you for the info seanr. I am researching this issue for you at the moment.

When exactly are you getting this error message saying «No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure»? Like the post before yours, are you running Cyberlink Youcam software?

You have looked under the system and it does not show you the HP Webcam if I understand you correctly.

I would like for you to try this troubleshooting document and let me know if this helped you, thanks.

  • So far I have not solved this problem. I uninstalled the intel compiler using add/remove programs on my Windows XP machine. That not help in getting rid of the message. Then I re-installed Intel Compiler 9.1 in the hope that it will reset the environment
variables. However, I am still getting the error message.

Symptom

The following error may occur in any OnGuard application:

"Error at loading of ippJP library.
No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure."

Instead of the ippJP library, one of the following libraries may also be named in the error:

  • ippSP
  • ippCC
  • ippIP

Resolution

In some cases, after a Windows installation is repaired, or after certain software is installed, the Intel Performance Primitives (IPP) libraries may be replaced or reverted to versions that are not compatible with OnGuard or the Lenel Network Video Suite. When this occurs, the errors referenced in this article may appear.

To resolve this issue, launch the following installation package from either the OnGuard Installation disc, or the Lenel Network Video Suite Installation disc. The path is the same on both discs:

TempINTELw_ipp_rti_ia32_p_5.2.msi (for version of OG before OG 6.6.287

or

WindowsTempINTELw_ipp_rti_ia32_p_5.2.msi (for OnGuard 6.6.287 or higher)

Note: The version of Intel IPP that is included may vary. For OnGuard 6.4.500 Technology Update, or LNV Suite 6.4.500 with Hot Fix 1.0, the version is 5.2.

Applies To

OnGuard (All versions)
LNVR (All versions)

Symptom(s):

Run a application based on Intel® IPP library, for example, run ippiDemo.exe (or ippsDemo.exe) with error message “this application has failed to start because ippcore*.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”
Or
Receive the error message “No DLL were found in the waterfall procedure” in previous version of Intel® IPP.

Cause:

The executable file can not find the right libraries in system path.

Solution:

First, please see Understanding SIMD Optimization Layers and Dispatching in the Intel IPP 7.0 Library.

There are two kind of Intel® IPP DLLs : “dispacher” DLLs and processor-specifc DLLs.  An application based on Intel® IPP Dlls needs both of them.

like ippi-7.0.dll, ippvc-7.0.dll etc. are “dispatcher” DLLs. At run time they will detect the processor and load the correct processor-specific DLLs. This allows your code to call Intel IPP functions without worrying about which processor the code will execute on – the appropriate version is automatically used.

The processor-specific DLLs are named *w7*.dll, *v8*.dll *p8″.dll etc.  The only actions needed to use the Intel IPP DLLs, once the “stub” static libraries are linked, is to ensure that the dispatching DLLs and the processor-specific DLLs are on the path.

Secondly, in general, the exe will search current folder, system32 folder, the folder of environment variable path points to to find the dlls at run-time. So we need to put the Intel® IPP Dlls to the place where  the exe can find.
There are some solutions for these, for example,
1) add IPP dll directory to system environment variable, thus the exe can find it.

Right click Icon”Computer” => Open “System Properties”=> click Tab “Advanced”=>Environment Variables=> in System variables, click path => Edit it.
add C:Program Files (x86)IntelComposer XE 2013redistia32ipp in Variable value.
or

2) Use the tool provided by IPP.

Set environment variable by ippenv.bat in a command-line windows and run exe after the setting.
Open a command-line windows, run the bat files
>C:Program Files (x86)IntelComposer XE 2013ippbinippenv.bat”
then run your exe.
>cd the directory of exe.
>your.exe

  • Hello Sir,

I am developing a product(Softphone) for voip calling so i am using pjsip But pjsip doesn’t provide G729 codec so i download and Install Intel IPP 6.1 trial version for 30 days for G729 Codec.

After that i make .exe and install it and  it’s running successfully But when i install that same .exe on other system then i am getting error No dll found in watelfall procedure .

So what should i do if i buy commercial version of IPP then it will remove or not.

Otherwise ir is a another type of error please tell me the solution.

    Waiting for your valuable response

  • The answer to what you need to distribute is in the documentation you provided. Please take the time to read it.

How to release and distribute software depends upon you companies policies and tools. If you have none then try the Visual studio and a little bit of googling…
