Python traceback most recent call last blender ошибка

$begingroup$

there seems to be no answers for the error «Traceback (most recent calls last)» in blender 2.8. Reinstalling blender doesnt fix the problem. this error occurs by just left clicking in the viewport or when importing images into textures and backgrounds. It ruins blender. I have no idea how this has happened.

this is the error:
enter image description here

I do not want to install a new version of blender at the moment so that is out of the option. Please help. This error is really annoying. This must have something to do with a file directory but i am not sure. Thanks in advance.

Last things first.
It is the correct version, I took the text from Blender as I’ve too many Betas to count. ;) Would you check the version displayed in Blender Preferences, please?
As for installing it in the latest version of Blender. I still have problems and I have had to do 3 System Restores.
I’ve stopped for the moment while I think. I did not un-install Ver 2.8 so both were in the registry. :(
What I did see was that the folders:
Stop- motion-OBJ;
Stop- motion-OBJ -0.2.79.2;
Stop- motion-OBJ -2.0.0 in
AppData > Roaming > BlenderFoundation > Blender > 2.83 > scripts > addons

The last time I tried to install Stop_motion in 2.83 it seemed to install but when I tried to activate it. I got the errors:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File «C:Proglam FilesBlender FoundationBlender 2.832.83Scriptsmodulesaddon_utils.py», line 351, in enable
mod = import(module_name)

Make sure you’re downloading the right .zip file. You want to download the file in the release notes, not the «Source code (.zip)» file:

When I did the same thing in blender 2.82 it worked. (There were errors later but I’ll make an issue if they continue)

Did you make sure you’re downloading the correct file? The ones labeled «Source code» are not the right files.

I had problems installing V 2.0.2 in Blender 2.83 from the zip file. After restarting Blender, Stop motion could be found in preferences but not in File > import
When I tried installing it manually I messed up the Blender 2.8.3 installation and have gone back to Blender 2.8.

In 2.83, add-ons should be installed in the %appdata%RoamingBlender Foundation2.83scriptsaddons folder. If you navigate there, what do you see? If there are any Stop-motion-OBJ folders, try deleting those. Also go to C:Program FilesBlender FoundationBlender 2.832.83scriptsaddons and delete anything related to Stop-motion-OBJ. Then try reinstalling the addon using the .zip file.

If all else fails, just use v2.1.0 instead of v2.0.2 since it’s no longer supported.

I think I’ve seen this issue before. I don’t remember what caused it, but it should be sufficient to delete those three Stop-motion-OBJ folders and re-install the addon.

enabling addon fails in blender 2.91 #24

Hey, I am trying to install the addon into blender but I keep running into this error when trying to enable it:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File «C:Program FilesBlender FoundationBlender 2.912.91scriptsmodulesaddon_utils.py», line 382, in enable
mod.register()
AttributeError: module ‘io_pdx_mesh’ has no attribute ‘register’

Any idea what the cause might be?

The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:

The cause is you’re using new a version of Blender that is less than a day old! 😉 Looks like something changed with registering addons and I will look into that.

Please use 2.90 with the addon in the meanwhile.

‘Course you comment on it while I’m sat on the page looking it up myself @ross-g 😉

I think it’s not liking the import trickery in __init__.py at root.

Yes, it’s actually a 1 line fix! The addon doesn’t register correctly in 2.91 because my code checks sys.executable expecting it to be either Blender.exe or Maya.exe before booting up for either software.

From the release notes:

sys.executable now points to the Python interpreter (instead of the Blender executable)

Figured it was something along those lines, great to hear it’s a quick and dirty!

Fixed by 09127bc in the bugfixes branch.
This issue will be closed once the fix is in a release.

@ross-g I am an artist with no experience coding, and am experiencing the same issue as the original post. I can see it says «fixed» under your comment «Fixed by 09127bc in the bugfixes branch.» but I cant parse that at all. is there an easy way to put this in laymans terms for me?
If context helps, I am an illustrator with some experience in blender, trying to contribute to a crusader kings 3 mod

That’s a great point 😄 in this instance it means that I’ve found the problem and uploaded the fix to Github. But haven’t released a new «official» version to download yet.

You can download the work-in-progress version (the bugfixes branch) if you want, but caveats apply as obviously this contains changes as I make them so isn’t guaranteed to work! This link should always download the latest wip version of the tool and can be installed into Blender as normal.
https://github.com/ross-g/io_pdx_mesh/archive/bugfixes.zip
It will even install safely side-by-side with the official released version (just don’t turn them both «on» at once)

Ooh, I didn’t know you had a bug fixes release, I’ll check it out cuz I’ve been dying to export some models I’ve been working on!

Sorry if I’m being stupid, but I’m not sure how to import the .mesh files

I tried using the addon «dayz importer 1.5» to import a scene into Blender. But an error comes out. I have set all possible paths, but without changes.
