Ошибка подключения esc 30085 mavic air 2

“ESC connection error” has been a common issue on DJI drones especially on Mavic air 2, nonetheless, DJI doesn’t seem to come up with a solution.

And this error is not something you can ignore or say I will come back to it later because it can be very dangerous.

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago, few minutes into flying the drone went crazy, lucky I was able to catch it but refused to liftoff later on.

After contacting DJI, reading a bunch of forums, hours of frustration, and trying different things, I fixed it and saved myself hundreds of dollars, and so I thought I could do the same for others.

So what is causing “ESC connection error” and how do you fix it?

Mavic air 2’s ESC connection error is usually caused by a faulty electronic speed controller or a faulty wire, but it can also be caused by a corrupted software. To fix this problem you can try refreshing the firmware in DJI Assistant 2, if the error persists, you might have to send the drone to DJI for service.

When you receive an “ECS connection Error” it can be hard to ascertain if it is a hardware or software issue.

If it is a hardware issue it is not safe to fly, because if the ESC stops sending signal to the motor while up in the sky the drone can fall down like a brick, and can cause a lot of trouble! including property damage and/or cause harm to people.

And that is if the drone allows you to lift off in the first place.

However, if it is a software issue it is safer and can be resolved with a firmware refresh or a factory reset.

Hardware problems

If you had a crash then there is a high chance that this is the cause of the ECS connection Error.

ECS connection Error error might not appear spontaneously after a crash, It may take time for a wire that was jarred during the crash to finally break.

After a crash wires become loosely connected, and when you land the drone after, the loose wires become detached completely.

  • ECS connection Error can also happen after replacing or repairing damaged parts on your droneif you had replaced a part on your drone by yourself you might have broken one fine wire which can be causing this error, so open the cover and check if there is a faulty wire.
  • You can also get ECS connection Error on a brand new DJI drone right out of the box. This may be due to poor handling while in transit, which causes wires to get detached, in this case, DJI will get it fixed without any cost to you

Software problems

It is also common to receive an ECS connection Error after upgrading a drone’s firmware.

If you received an ECS connection Error after updating your firmware, try refreshing your firmware. If refreshing the firmware, try rolling it back to the previous version.

Alternatively, if there is an update available and you currently have the ECS connection Error message, try updating the firmware.

So let me explain how you can do these step by step-

1. Refresh the drones firmware in DJI assistant 2

In the best-case scenario, this problem will be resolved just by refreshing the drone’s firmware.

To do that-

  1. Power on the drone
  2. Download the proper dji assistant for mavic air 2 here
  3. Connect it to your computer using the USB cable DJI provides
  4. Open the software on your laptop
  5. Log in to the DJI Assistant 2 app and select your drone
  6. Next, you will see the firmware version
  7. Tap update and choose the latest version
  8. If it is already the latest version click refresh
  9. Repeat process with every battery you own

you can also refresh the firmware in DJI go 4 app.

2. Update/refresh Controller Firmware

The Drone’s and the controller’s firmware must match so after refreshing or updating your drone’s firmware you should do the same for the controller separately.

So, to update/refresh your RC’s firmware-

  1. Power on the remote controller
  2. Connect it to your computer using a USB cable provided
  3. Open and log into the DJI Assistant 2 software on your laptop
  4. Select your drone’s remote controller
  5. Next, you will see the firmware version
  6. Tap update if you have an older version or tap refresh if it is up to date
  7. Click on “Start Update”
  8. On the next screen, you will see the firmware being downloaded, then transmitted and updating the remote controller
  9. At 100%, you will see the message, “Update Complete”
  10. After the firmware is complete, the controller will restart automatically

3. Downgrade firmware

If refreshing the current firmware doesn’t seem to work, you can downgrade the firmware till the next update comes out.

You can downgrade your firmware both in DJI assistant and DJI go 4.

To downgrade firmware in DJI assistant

  1. Power on the drone
  2. Connect it to your computer using the USB cable
  3. Open the DJI Assistant 2 software on your laptop
  4. Log in to the DJI Assistant 2 app and select your drone
  5. Next, you will see the firmware version and older versions lined up
  6. Choose the version one below the current version you have
  7. Then click install
  8. Then the drone will automatically restart

To downgrade firmware in DJI go 4

Press and hold the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the top right corner) for five seconds and a special firmware menu appears. You can now select which previous firmware version you would like to downgrade to. Check it out.

4. Factory reset your drone and controller

Before changing the ESC just to make sure it is not a software problem you are having try factory resetting the drone.

  1. First, Install the DJI Assistant 2 Program on your device, make sure you download the proper one.
  2. Connect your drone to your laptop using the USB cable provided, and wait for the software till it detects your drone
  3. You’ll be able to see your drone on the Connected Devices screen. Select your drone and then click on confirm.
  4. Click on Firmware Update. After that, you’ll be able to see the “Restore factory defaults” button.
  5. Click on the factory reset button and then confirm when you are asked to confirm the reset. A progress bar will pop up showing the progress of the reset. You’ll be notified when the reset is complete.

Note: After a factory reset you have to calibrate everything again.

You can also hard reset the controller

To reset the RC: Turn on the controller, the aircraft should be off. * Press C1, C2, and shutter (top right button nearest antenna) on the controller and hold for about 2 seconds or so until it beeps, then turn the controller off.”

5. Change the ESC

If none of the previous method work it mean it is not a software problem and the ESC should get replaced.

Note: by attempting to repair or replace a damaged part on your DJI drone it is very important to understand that you will void your warrenty!

in the video down below I will show you how you can change the ESC

However, changing the ESC needs a little experience, and every drone is different that is why I recommend sending it to a professional to get it replaced

Final choice

If none of the methods fix it, you need to send it to a professional.

DJI care does include battery problems, so If you have DJI care there is a good chance you can get it fixed without any cost.

DJI can ask you to send the drone even if it is a battery problem

If you don’t have DJI care you might have to pay from fifty dollars for a power management replacement up to hundreds of dollars if the battery needs a replacement

After you hand it to DJI it can take up to 15 days till they fix it and send it back to you, and it can take longer if you don’t live in the united states

If you are located in Armenia, you may contact the local dealer or DJI’s support via email to start a case and send the unit back.

Печально расстроился даже не полетал на нем.

Не расстраивайтесь сильно- это всего лишь железка. Хорошо уже то, что никому на голову не упал.

https://forum.dji.co…218741-1-1.html

DJI error code 30085

If your DJI drone is suddenly showing an error code 30085, you will not be able to fly your drone. In this post, we will explain what DJI error code 30085 is and provide you with some useful tips and tricks.

What is DJI ESC Connection Error: Code 30085?

DJI error code 30085 is an issue related to ESC (Electronic speed controllers). When this comes up, there will be a warning message saying

ESC connection error. Repairs required. Contact DJI Support for assistance (Code: 30085).

You will also see the Unable to Take Off note in the top right corner of your mobile device or RC screen. Normally, your drone’s rear led light will remain red without flashing.

After doing a lot of research, we found that this error is mainly because of a hardware fault. it’s not likely that you can get it fixed by yourself in many cases, but we can still try the following things to see if it works for you.

1. Remove the SD card in your DJI drone and restart the drone. Some pilots tried this and it did work sometimes. If it’s not a hardware issue, then it will solve your problem.

2. Make sure your drone firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, an old firmware version may cause the issue, so just update your firmware or refresh it to see if the problem is still there.

3. Contact DJI Support for further diagnosis. If the first two things don’t work for you, then you have no choice but to contact DJI Support for assistance. Some pilots got a new replacement, and the new aircraft works just fine.

Depending on your drone’s problem, you may get a replacement or DJI will change the ESC board. If your drone is out of warranty, you will need to pay for the service.

Conclusion

The DJI ESC connection error (Code 30085) is most likely a hardware issue, there isn’t too much you can do, if you tried everything and still can’t erase the error, then don’t hesitate to contact DJI or a local authorized dealer.

DJI Mavic Air 2 ESC Connection Error Code: 30085 problem

Good
day everyone. It is a very sad day for me because I couldn’t fly my DJI MavicAir 2 because of this error that I am getting during take-off. First, I will
explain to you what happened. On the afternoon of August 14, 2020, I used my 1
st
battery marked as 1 because it still has 70% juice on it. I did a fly around my
house and tried the dolly zoom and it was all going well. After doing so, I
tried to do a short hyperlapse on Mt. Panamao because I saw a few clouds
covering it. After doing so, the battery went to 30% so I decided to land the
drone so I could do the next hyperlapse around the town which was saved on my
waypoints. I landed the drone properly with no problem and swapped the second
battery marked as 2. But when I tried to take off, I have now the error message
that says “ESC Error” and when you click on it, it says ESC Connection error.Repairs required. Contact DJI Support for assistance (Code: 30085). It was
really frustrating.

I tried the 3rd battery since I purchased the Fly
more Combo and still the error was there. I tried researching online and asked
some help from different Facebook groups that focuses on DJI Mavic Air 2. Some
advised me to refresh the firmware thru the DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic app on my
PC and I did that but still no avail. The error was still there. So, what I did
is I contacted my dealer and asked some help. At this time, I am really decided
to just send the drone back to them for repair. I emailed DJI Support but
replied to me that they couldn’t help me right now because of some problem with
the customs. I emailed the dealer for help also until I was instructed to send
an email directly to the Service Center here in the Philippines. I have the
number of the service center and called them. I was advised to send them the drone
together with the whole package and email them all the details needed for the
repair. And on the morning of August 16, 2020, I tried to turn on the drone
again because I forgot to screen record my phone that shows the error message because
that is one of the requirements needed for the repair. I was shocked that the
error message is now gone after I took it out of the box. I snapped in the
propellers and tried to hover the drone just to check if it still gonna get the
ESC Connection error message.

After I hovered it for a few seconds, I landed it
and restarted the drone to check for the error message and voila, the problem
is back. I got the ESC Error message again. At least I have its screen recorded
so I could get to send them the video. I packed everything again and went
immediately to LBC.

Right now, it is on its way to Manila since I am in Visayas
region, that’s gonna take 1 or 2 weeks to reach them since all courier service
are on land trip right now due to this pandemic.

I just hope that they could
fix it or maybe replace it so that I could enjoy my Mavic Air 2 again. Fortunately, Jean from the DJI Service Center Philippines is very much willing to help.

ESC Connection Error Code 30085

Hey guys, new pilot here and this is my first drone! I have completed several flights with no crashes or incidents. However after a flight, when I try to take off I get the above error and it won’t let me fly. The first day I flew I got “motor startup failure.”

The app, batteries, and craft all are updated with the latest firmware. I tried to contact DJI, but they are understandably busy.

Has anyone seen this or know what it could be? Google searches don’t help much. Hopefully DJI will just replace it, but it may take awhile.
