12:52 [PSV|3.60] HENkaku: как исправить ошибку C2-12828-1 |
Некоторые пользователи сообщают об ошибке C2-12828-1 при попытке установить / запустить эксплойт Henkaku на PS Vita .

I am currently running 3.65 firmware on PS Vita 1000. i was able to install henkaku and vitashell using hencore but when i launched Vitashell, got the error «C2-12828-1 Saved core file succeeded. ux0:data/psp2core-*********-eboot.bin.psp2dump»
I tried all basic troubleshooting(Restarts, rebuild database, format memory card and system) and searched all over web but no luck. i cannot access vita files because molecular and vitashell does not work. I do not have any backups as i just bought it.
Please help
hey i’m having the same problem here. have you found a solution?
You are in HEN before trying to open VitaShell, right?
Either by h-encore or Ensō.
Assuming you are when launching, C2-12828-1 is a file related error (corruption/not found). Meaning, redownloading VitaShell via h-encore should solve it.

yeah henkaku settings are shown and on system info it has 3.65 and the characters next to it. i restored vitashell through psvimgtools using qcma, but i’ve tried redownloading vitashell through h-encore before and i still get that error
I have the same problem on 3.73 firmware, can’t open VitaShell at all, after installing HENkaku same error C2-12828-1 appears.
yeah i ended up having to buy another motherboard and replacing it :/
sorry dude
Many users have reported this C2-12828-1 Error when they try installing or running latest hack of PS Vita 3.6, which is of Henkaku. Some of them experience the same especially when they boot for the first time. Rebooting the console has solved the issue for them but almost everyone had not been so lucky.
As per Sony, issue raises for Error c2-12828-1 when game hangs up while running. This occurs due to improper application processing. If the same occurs after restoring the system, saved data corrupts immediately. Some of the major fixes include restarting the system, reformatting the PS, deleting application’s cache or saved data, or reformatting the memory card. If error still continues, one should contact the consumer service of SONY.

Causes and Fixes
Error can be due to any reason but if it is through any software corruption, we can solve the same. The error can be caused due to several reasons. Let us briefly discuss one by one including the possible solutions too for having better idea and understanding
RinCheat Plugin – A very basic cause of the error is RinCheat plugin. Basically, it is used by many uses to apply basic cheats to the game. The main features of the same include:
- Real-time cheats with cheats database support.
- Real-time memory scanner with (partial) heap scanner and main thread stack scanner.
- Decrypted save data exporter/importer with multiple save slots.
- Improved screenshot feature (no compression) in any game and any situation.
- FTP Server during gaming phase.
- Possibility to change console clockage with CPU, GPU, BUS, GPU Crossbar support.
- Possibility to disable Auto Suspend feature while in game.
- Possibility to stream PSVITA screen to PC while gaming.
So, as we discussed, this plugin uses cheats functionality, therefore, sometimes this plugin causes this C2-12828-1 error letting game to hang. Rebooting the console even also not works.
Solution
Solution for the same includes disabling the same where users can enjoy seamless game-playing.
Corrupted Database – Second cause for Error C2-1282801 is a corrupted database. This happens when any of the executable or a system file gets corrupted due to some technical mistake. This may also be caused if any file is missing or some malfunctioned plugin is installed.
Solution
Possible solution includes rebuilding of the database. This is a fix mostly applied. Nobody surely can’t explain the technicalities, but most of the users just know from personal experience that it works. Basically, go to the safe menu (either hold down power button until screen goes dark, or “R” button + PS button + Power button for 5 seconds while the vita is off) and select the “Rebuild database option”.
WARNING! if you have a HENkaku enabled Vita, this will delete all plugins!
Memory Card – Sometimes, there remain some files, extensions, images, documents, or personal stuff, which corrupts the memory card resulting in Error C2-12828-1. The card is left with no option in that case except formatting the same. Memory card, if accessed through USB, creates more problems and issues in this regard.
Solution
This is the ultimatum, the worst case scenario. This is what you do especially when fix 1 doesn’t work. It will erase the entire memory card (photos , save data, etc.) By definition, the same will perfectly fix the issue, basically by nuking it out of existence. Only this has to be done when fix one is failed. It is recommended to create a backup of the memory card on your computer
Please note: Only copying all game data over will work and then the formatting. This is the only way you at least have all of your data saved and ready to be transferred slowly back to your system.
Other Potential Solutions
Many users have been running into error C2-12828-1 and here’s what some people recommend (don’t do all of those, try each one after the other and see what works for you:
Fix-1
- Delete your cookies in the PS Vita Browser, then try again (thanks FallenLeader)
- Try to turn off the Vita, wait for a few minutes, then turn it on again and visit the HENkaku site again.
- Try to start the PS Vita in Safe Mode (turn the Vita off, then press “R” button + PS button + Power button for 5 seconds while the vita is off) and use the rebuild database option
- Format the memory card
- Reset your Wifi settings
Fix-2
Steps to fixing:
- Delete all games and apps you no longer need
- Sync trophies / save-data with PSN server and do a full backup of your Vita using Content Manager Assistant. Basically hook up the Vita with a PC running Content Manager Assistant and copy over everything.
- Remove any game card from the system.
- Turn Vita off completely -> turn Vita on in SAFE MODE -> using Power button, PS button + R trigger to start it up.
- At SAFE MODE screen select option (3) to Format Memory Card
- Afterwards turn Vita on in SAFE MODE again, and select option (4) to Restore PS Vita System
- Once again, get your Vita back to SAFE MODE and select option (2) to Rebuild Database
- Turn your Vita on regularly and it should look fresh again. Icons everywhere. Don’t bother with changing any settings as the backup has it all; though you will have to re-arrange icons. At this point, go into Settings -> Format -> Format Memory Card (one last time).
- Then get back to Settings and connect the Vita to your usual internet connection and sign in to your PSN so that it is authenticated.
- Open Content Manager application on the Vita and Restore From Backup – connect to where your backup is stored.
- After all is done, the icons are shufffled so get them re-arranged, make sure your time is set right using the internet
Note: For some games the data was apparently so corrupted so it could not be restored. This happened for round about 5 out 30 games. I re-downloaded these games and downloaded save-data from PSN. After all that was done, I was able to use my Playstation Vita as expected. The whole procedure especially re-downloading some larger games was cumbersome but in the end I seem to have a stable system now.
Fix-3
- To fix this error in most game dumps, users have exclusively found a working (tested) exploit. These include:
- Using Molecular Shell, just disable the Amphetamin.suprx in “ux0:/plugins/game.txt” by setting the value from “1” to “0”.
- You will notice that C2-12828-1 issue may occur in most cases due to an amphetamin plugin incompatibility (Many of them have tested with version 3.3 better amphetamin) and most confirm that it seems a bug in this plugin to make the game crash on boot.
Note: Be careful that some games may need the proper sce_module fix too in addition to this exploit (plugins disabled). Or a db.app rebuild too. Get a try, maybe you will need to re-download the dump from another source too! Notice that some games are dumped but not tested, and they could be uploaded/dumped with errors.
Fix-4
NOTICE: According to the experts, the following steps are recommended for a correct installation of the dump to void the C2 error;
- Download a [TNW] dump. TNW stands for Tested and Working;
- Ensure if it will (or won’t) need the proper sce_module fix too and merge it with Filezilla. Just google for them;
- Transfer the whole .VPKs by using the cable (mp4 rename method in the video folder) and not the Filezilla ftp;
- Disable the amphetamin.suprx in ux0:/plugins by setting it to 0 value in game.txt. Just to be sure, I disabled the rinCheat.suprx too. You can try to disable all plugins if you won’t see any result;
- Some games (like Soul Sacrifice USA and Ninja Gaiden 2 + EU) comes with “corrupted” steroid.suprx in the ux0:/app/GAMEID/sce_module, so you have to delete it too after you have installed the game;
- After the installation, rebuilt the database in recovery mode and reboot the ps vita.
- At this point, if the game still won’t work, at 90% you have to re-download it again but from another source.
Conclusion
Some of the possible fixes we have already mentioned in the same and there can be more. It always depends on the nature of error and the environment in which it has taken place. It would be best to address the issue with proper and full information so that any of the experts can help you in better ways.
The ones we have presented are general fixes and hopefully, most of them will solve your issues with this error.Last but not the least, if the same doesn’t work for you in anyway, you should consult the device manufacturer of the company itself because maybe, eror caused int hat case is due to hardware if not software

Several people are reporting error C2-12828-1 while trying to install/run the recently released Henkaku hack for PS Vita 3.60. I have myself had the issue when I installed HENkaku the first time. Rebooting the console fixed the problem for me, but not everyone’s been that lucky. So, if you run repeatedly into this issue, and rebooting your console doesn’t help, what can you do?
Error C2-12828-1: How to fix according to Sony’s official help page
Here’s what Sony’s official help page have to say about error C2-12828-1 (please note that at the time of this writing the Sony help page that is supposed to have this help topic is down, and I had to retrieve the information from a cache)
Hangs up during a game while the application is running. This is caused by invalid processing on the application side.
If this occurs even when the system is restored, the saved data is probably corrupted.1. Restart the application. If that fails, please restart the system.
2. Reformat the PS®Vita system.
3. Delete the application’s saved data.
4. Reformat the memory card.
If the error continues to occur, please note the error code and the situation in which it occurs, and contact Consumer Services at 1-800-345-SONY (7669).
So, a few good steps to try here, although I obviously recommend to *not* call Sony for issues running HENkaku 🙂
Definitely try rebooting, and if that doesn’t work, formatting your memory card or resetting the system might help. It’s worth noting that Sony call it a problem on the application side, and the error is as generic as it gets.
There might be less dramatic solutions than resetting the entire system or formatting the card, though. See below for other tips that might work for you before you try something too “final”.

So if your someone like me you have a few games that may just plain may not boot. Well I have encountered a few things to fix this nasty little boot error.
-
Turn off any plugin loaded to your UX0:tai/config You can be really lazy and when opening the config just adding «#» to the front of any line that is not related to molecule.
-
Still not able to boot? Well reboot. Open molecule and click install during the time the browser crashes and the white window starts popping up hold R1. If done successfully it will reload your config. Txt
-
Was the game able to boot for a second? No? You hit the loading screen or maybe heard the system music stop but the error C2-12828-1 remains? (Well that was my issue) It is time to back up your content that is still working.
4.Install net check bypass to your device.
5. Head over to you PlayStation network section in settings and deactivate your device
(You can skip six if you deactivated successfully.)
6. Your PlayStation section say sign in only? Grab a copy of vita registry editor. Head over to config and then NP. Change it from 0 to 1. If your password is not filled in now is the time to do so. After your done press circle to exit the directory and just double check the edits have saved. Reboot and enable henkaku make sure net bypass is running and check the playstation network section. After you click cancel on the update prompt. Your account settings should be accessible.
7. Afterword a head back over to system in settings and restore the system. When asked to format the memory card select yes.
This will reset your device to a clean state. Just like it was out of the box with 3.60.
8. Set up your device with date and time.
9. As you are setting up the device, select yes I do have a psn. Then select set up later on the next screen.
10.Put in a birthday and you will see the staring video. Pro tip wanna skip it? Cool turn off the device normally. When your vita turns back on you will be at the normal lock screen.
11. Head over to settings and select auto start and make sure to untick system update download. This will stop the the nasty 3.63 update.
12. Open the web browser and enter go.henkaku.xyz in your web browser.
Install vita shell
13. Use vita shell to mount you vita as USB to you computer.
!!!WARNING!!! I do not recommend using mac as finder will trash your file system. !!!WARNING!!!
(Or if using a vita tv, grab your USB and copy your UX0 to uma0 for directory structure.)
14. With your memory stick mounted using a PC copy your decrypted to app.
15. Eject the device and press triangle on vita shell and select refresh live area.
16. Enjoy decrypted content if working before will now be.
17. Install net check bypass to your device.
18.sign up for PlayStation
19. Your account settings should be accessible
20. Activate.

Same issue here on Nestopia UES
Context
- PS Vita — Firmware 3.65
- RetroArch 1.9.0
Core
- FCEUmm => Working
- QuickNES => Working
- Nestopia UES => Issue C2-12828-1 => error log available in attachment.
Exact same scenario here — as soon as I tried Nestopia UES RetroArch crashed and now refuses to start, showing the same error.
In my case, I was trying to load a game with a different core. This led to RetroArch crashing and then subsequent starts would immediately crash. I think Retroarch was trying to auto-load the buggy core (in my case the GBA gpSP core) so I deleted the content history (not sure this helped) and renamed the retroarch-salamander.cfg file to retroarch-salamander.cfg.bak (this latter part is what I think fixed it) and I was able to get back in to RetroArch.
So comparing the retroarch.cfg that caused the crash to the default generated retroarch.cfg, the main difference is libretro_path being set to whatever core caused the crash (in this case app0:/nestopia_libretro.self). Changing that back to the default of app0:/2048_libretro.self and deleting content history let me back in without having to completely delete my retroarch.cfg.
@Saboton is there any NES core/s on retroarch vita that does not cause this crash?
How do you delete content history?

Error C2-12828-1 #21
I followed the instructions but when i initialize the aplication i get this error message and it stops working. After changing my config.txt (the kernel thing), i reboot the system to make changes take effect, but i realized that the config.txt is restored to its default form, erasing all the changes i did. other thing to take note is that every time i turn on the device i need to reset taiHEN config.txt to start using homebrew apps, i think thats the problem, but how can i use plugins if every time i need to reboot the system i need to reset the config.txt file? any tips?

That’s weird, you should probably ask on the Discord channel.
Thanks man for the quick answer. Just one more think, where can I find the discord server link :)? I’m kinda dumb on these things
did u find the solution i kept searching on reddit but no one knows
I encountered this issue until now, just for reason that I want to use ps vita as a controller
ok. let’s say something about this error
The most important thing is that replaces the step7, just go to ux0/tai folder and find the config.txt, then does the same stuff with step11
Please follow the instructions from this website (https://www.cfwaifu.com/vitastick-vita-controller/)
Something trivial
I just followed the instructions from that website above
I resolved this issue by replacing the instruction by step 7
There are some information initialized(not cared)
But there is a key to resolve this issue, which indicated that config.txt in ur0 is an alternative for config.txt in ux0/tai folder
That’s all. Hope that this comment can help who also encountered this issue. Good luck and have fun.

Blocked IP Address
Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. The most common causes of this issue are:
- If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests.
- Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does. This triggers our anti-spambot measures, which are designed to stop automated systems from flooding the site with traffic. Continued use of these apps may cause your IP to be blocked indefinitely. There is no official GameFAQs app, and we do not support nor have any contact with the makers of these unofficial apps.
- Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine
- Running a «scraper» or «downloader» program that either does not identify itself or uses fake headers to elude detection
- Using a badly configured (or badly written) browser add-on for blocking content
- Overusing our search engine with a very large number of searches in a very short amount of time
If you promise to stop (by clicking the Agree button below), we’ll unblock your connection for now, but we will immediately re-block it if we detect additional bad behavior.
If you do not understand what is causing this behavior, please contact us here.

The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
@0xakrem
is C2-12828-1 only occurring for VHBB or other applications as well?
First restart your system, and let me know if the error persists ?
i did and i cleaned cookies etc but still the same 🙁
i’ve 3,60 with henkaku
@0xakrem @szczuru
If a system restart didn’t do the trick, rebuild your database.
steps if needed:
- power down your Vita
- hold down the R button and PS button and turn on your Vita.
- keep holding R button and PS button until the ‘Safe Mode’ menu appears.
- select the ‘Rebuild Database’ option (option 2 i think it is).
- wait for the vita to boot.
- apply HENkaku and try loading a hb application.
Still same error 🙁
Maybe psp2core dumped during error will help, here’s mine:
http://www44.zippyshare.com/v/G2TY1jIB/file.html
yes, C2-12828-1 is HENkaku related not VHBB.
You do have safe mode turned off right?
VHBB will only run in unsafe mode as it requires additional access for some of it’s procedures.
You can set this via molecular shell.
its working thanks !
I have disabled safe mode 🙁
yes, C2-12828-1 is HENkaku related not VHBB.

and try reboot and do HENkaku again
@szczuru Delete the ux0:tai folder then reboot.
@0xakrem @CelesteBlue-dev Deleted tai folder and even reinstalled whole TaiHEN (by pressing R during install) — still same error 🙁
@szczuru Now delete ux0:data/vhbb/.
Works! 😀 Thanks a lot!
So to conclude there are 3 causes of the Error C2-128128-1 in VHBB and for each a solution :
- if UNSAFE MODE is not enabled in MolecularShell : enable it.
- if ux0:tai/config.txt launches with *all an uncompatible plugin : delete the bad lines or delete ux0:tai/config.txt.
- if ux0:data/vhbb/ is corrupted : delete ux0:data/vhbb/.
We can’t know which is the cause between these 3, so you need to apply the 3 fixes.
@devnoname120 @ArkSource You should add these solutions into the README.
@devnoname120 @ArkSource Issues resolved. You can close it.
Might link to a write up on the VitaSDK forum for ‘Error C2-128128-1’ as the initial error is not directly related to VHBB.
I’ll also add a link to the README.
Cheers.
I have to add one more solution to the above that worked for me. i have faced the same issue and non of the solution above worked.
- If you have the old Vita with Cell network , install any SIM card then go the setting menu under Network and disable the mobile network by unchecking the box. this option only appear with sim installed. then the app will use the wifi for internet.
weird but worked for me.
@erumaithi Interesting, were other apps able to access the Internet anyway?
